The Thule Group is conducting a voluntary recall on Thule RideAlong Child Bike Seats manufactured between March 1, 2021 through October 31, 2023 in cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) and Health Canada. We have identified that the harness padding of Thule RideAlong may contain flame-retardant DecaBDE in excess of regulatory limits.
At the Thule Group we take product quality and safety very seriously and product safety is our top priority. We conduct extensive testing to ensure that our Thule products meet all global industry and regulatory standards.
Above is a representative photo of the child bike seat. Below is a picture of the bike seat’s product number and date code, which is located on the bottom side of the seat.
The recalled product number is: 100107 with manufacturing date codes of March 1, 2021 through October 31, 2023. If your Child Bike Seat was produced before March 1, 2021, your product is not affected by this recall.
Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled RideAlong seat and contact Thule Group to arrange for the return of the harness padding and register for a replacement harness padding.
What do we want you to do?
We urge you to take the following immediate actions:
- Locate the product label on the bottom side of the seat.
- Read the 1st line with
- Product Item number – 100106, 100107, 100108
- Date Code indicated by Year/Month – in this example Year 2021/ Month 9
3. If you locate QC 2024 sticker on the bottom of your seat, your seat unit is already check and safe to use regardless of date code.
If you have a product within the recalled date code period, without a QC 2024 sticker, we ask you to take the following actions:
- Immediately stop using the Thule RideAlong Child Bike Seat.
- Visit www.thule.com/recallthuleridealongamer to register for a replacement Thule RideAlong harness padding to be shipped directly to you. You will keep and transfer your existing child bike seat and harness. Included in the new package will be instructions on how to remove the old harness padding and install the new harness padding. We will ask you to promptly return your current harness padding in the provided shipping envelope with pre-paid shipping labels at no cost. (No proof of purchase is necessary.)

Please note this recall for replacement of product is limited to the units with a production date of March 1, 2021 through October 31, 2023 and does not affect any units produced before March 1, 2021 or after October 31, 2023.
