First Super G win for Brignone
It was a tough race in Soldeu! Despite the bad weather conditions, Federica Brignone has signed her first Super G World Cup victory in Soldeu! It’s her 5th podium this season, the 12th of her career.
“It’s incredible today, I just can’t believe it, and it’s crazy. I know this was a tough race. It was not the best conditions for the best racers, the top 7, but then I took advantage of my luck and I just ski my best and tried to push. I knew it was just one minute of super G, so I tried to push every single turn. Actually, when I went down it was really good. You must not to go outside the race line because the snow was a little bit soft. In the last part, if you were going a little bit wide, you were kind of slowed down. A part from the top section, it was so good for me because it was just steep and technical.”
