In Val d’Isère, on the challenging Bellevarde Face, Henrik Kristoffersen has surpassed Marcel Hirscher, winning the first slalom of season with 1.09 second ahead! Felix Neureuther completes the podium (+1.46). He takes the lead of the World Cup speciality.
Petra Vlhova wins, Frida Hansdotter second
It’s the performance of the weekend! At only 20 years, the Slovakian Petra Vlhova won his first World Cup slalom in Are. Junior World champion of the specialty, she ended ahead of another skier from Team Rossignol, Frida Hansdotter. Meanwhile, Swedish takes the red leader bib of the speciality.
Fourcade and Schempp double the bet
The duel between Rossignol’s biathletes Martin Fourcade and Simon Schempp is on! The German won the Sprint, beating the French and the roles were reversed during the Pursuit. Fourcade signs his 40th World Cup victory in Hochfilzen , Schempp his 15th podium. Watch the reactions in video.
